Admissions PROCESS
Before applying, please review our Programme Offerings and Placement Availability.
Our admissions process is flexible to meet the needs of our school and our applicants; however, we typically adhere to the following timeline in processing applications:
Junior Kindergarten: November to December
Senior Kindergarten: December to February
Grades 1 to 6: April to June
Grade 7 to 12: March to June
Please note that spaces are allocated based on the strength of the application (report card grades, admissions testing/assessment, and classroom visit feedback) and not the date on which the application was received. We recommend submitting your application well in advance of the above dates, as our programmes fill quickly.
-
Please create an account and submit your application online. You can save and finish the application later, as needed.
Be prepared with:

Admissions assessments are used for all students applying to Senior Kindergarten through to Grade 12. Junior Kindergarten students will attend an interview and play workshop in place of admissions assessment.
Please read about Our Programmes for more detailed testing information and testing dates.
Due to the advanced nature of our programme, we require proficiency in English and Math. We do not offer ESL or ELL support.
-
Local candidates who score within the expected admission guidelines will then be invited to attend a classroom visit at Webber Academy.
Distance / international applicants who are unable to attend a classroom visit will be expected to arrange for our Confidential School Report to be completed by their current teacher and/or principal as well as attend an online interview.
-
Once the above steps are complete, the Admissions team will review the application. Admissions decisions are made with the best interests of the student in mind and are based on a combination of the application, report card marks, entrance test scores, interviews, and teacher recommendations. It is our policy to advise prospective families of acceptance or non-acceptance as quickly as possible.
Qualified applicants for whom there are no positions available will be placed on the waiting list and offered a deferral to the next school year.

Webber Academy welcomes international applicants to all grades, from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.
The application process for international students is the same as it is for other students; however, international applicants will need to demonstrate grade-appropriate proficiency in English to fully participate in classroom instruction and school life at Webber Academy. Attendance at an international school where English is the primary language of instruction is preferred; while we do not require English Language Testing, we welcome applicants to include their results as part of their application process.
Please note that Webber Academy does not offer English as a Second Language (ESL), English Language Learner (ELL), or English as an Additional Language Learner (EAL) programmes.
Webber Academy does not offer home-stay or boarding services for our students. Students must be living with their parent(s) or a legally appointed guardian (documentation is required.)
It is the responsibility of the family to provide appropriate documentation for their children to attend an Alberta school; depending on residency or visa status, international students may be subject to an additional tuition charge.
We encourage international applicants to our high school (Grades 10 through 12) programme to contact the Director of Admissions prior to submitting an application to ensure our programme will meet their academic needs.
