Golf Season overview

Junior High GOLF

The Junior High Golf team had a successful and enjoyable season. Following tryouts, 16 players were selected to represent Webber Academy at the CISAA championships at Springbank Links Golf Club on October 3, 2022. Players enjoyed an unseasonably warm morning and showed off their impressive skills and sportsmanship. Special recognition is given to Grade 7 student Hannah Thomas who shot one over par, winning the 7/8 girls category.

Senior High GOLF

The Webber Academy Senior High Golf team had a short, but very successful, season this year. The Zones tournament on September 19th was blustery, cold, and rainy, but despite the inclement weather, our golfers are to be congratulated on an excellent performance. The Senior High Boy’s team of Chris Bunch, Shaan Shesi, Adam Edwards, and Jaiden Koonar and the Senior High Girl’s Team of Allison Au, Maya Bissoondath, Nehita Iyinbor, and Katelyn Joneja both finished 3rd in their respective divisions. In addition, Jaiden Koonar, who shot an impressive 72 on a very challenging course, also qualified for Provincials. Mrs. Churchill and Ms. Stevenson congratulate all members of the Senior High Golf team on their sportsmanship and positive attitude in the face of less-than-ideal weather conditions. Way to go, Wildcats!
